Yuko visited me
April 23rd, 2008 by Stefan

A friend of my sister has visited me for one week. Although I had to work during the day, we spent a lot of time in the evening and had dozens of fun. In the weekend we went to Mont-Saint-Michel. Yuko comes from Japan und is a remarkable woman.

I will keep this week always in my memory. Thank you! Because I will travel for business in June to Japan, I’m looking more forward seeing her again. ;)

The weekend we spent in Mont-Saint-Michel, which is an island north-west of France. This island is famous for it’s abbey. Please read this article for more informations: Wikipedia

We traveled Saturday morning with the TGV (fast train) to Rennes and from there with a bus to the village Mont-Saint-Michel, where we stayed over night in a small hotel. The ticket for the TGV you can buy on every SNCF ticket corner, for the bus there’s a ticket corner when you go out of the train station “Rennes” on the right side in a small building. The buses are waiting behind it. For the hotel I checked this page. It’s a 2-star hotel and in fact not that good, but for one night acceptable.

It’s a very beautiful place, where it has 3.5 millions visitors per year and inside the abbey you have a lot of shops. Especially in one restaurent, they have a famous crêpe which is hand-made in an oven.
